Life and Transformation Coaching

Life coaching is a partnership to help you become the person you want to be. We go beyond traditional therapy or coaching—given my background, we also dive deep into the somatic patterns, habits and unconscious beliefs that your body may be operating with that may also be holding you back. By working with both the body and the mind, we are able to create more profound, lasting shifts.

From career transitions to personal growth, life transformation coaching helps you develop your mindset, habits, and actions to align with your goals and values. The path towards self-realisation- towards what we want- is meant for us, and we can get there with ease and grace.

I use evidence-based coaching methods that have helped countless clients transform their lives. I incorporate a number of somatic techniques into sessions, as well as more traditional techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and deep questioning. I’m also certified in NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP), a powerful technique for working with the subconscious. Together, we’ll get clarity about your goals, overcome fears and limiting beliefs, and design a powerful action plan to make your vision a reality.

Working with Both the Mind and the Body (Somatics and Embodiment)

People procrastinate for many reasons. Most of the time, it’s either from a lack of clarity, the change feeling too big and overwhelming, or there being something important that feels like it may be lost if we go through with the change. Many of our limiting beliefs are unconscious, and stored in our bodies. This is why, even when we know cognitively what we need to do, it can be so hard to build and stick with a positive habit. I take both a mind and a body-centred approach, helping you identify these blocks, reframe them, and release old patterns that no longer serve you for long-lasting, sustainable change.

Building Confidence and Self-Worth

Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is a necessary part of growth. Yet often it’s done in an all-or-nothing kind of way, that can lead to burnout, or sets us up to fail. Repeatedly throwing ourselves off the proverbial cliff does not build true confidence.

As Stephen Porges, proposer of the polyvagal theory, says: “Those with the clearest paths back to safety are the ones more likely to take risks”.

I love this quote, because it underlines how I generally work with confidence-building: “true” confidence is founded upon also creating safety for ourselves; practicing self-compassion in a dynamic, flexible way, and continually insisting upon our humanity as we lean into discomfort. Another way of saying this is that we work to the point of stretch, and also work on our recovery practices (which is when our body integrates the flexibility training), without tearing our muscles. Despite the common misconception, research shows that you don’t need to tear your muscles to build flexibility (either physically or mentally)!

We’ll work together to build true self-worth. In this way, you’ll find that your resilience, confidence and courage will naturally expand, and you will more easily and fully step into your dynamic potential.

Goal Setting and Consistency

Setting clear, actionable goals is a crucial part of personal transformation, yet often we take advice from the Internet without spending the time to figure out what’s actually best practice for us. I’ll help you figure out what time management approach is most suitable for you (they vary hugely from person to person, and having the wrong approach can set you up to fail). I’ll help you set achievable goals, create an individualised plan to reach them, stay motivated, and keep you accountable along the way.

Work-Life Balance

Work-life balance is a bit of a misnomer, as it suggests that the two are opposing, rather than in servitude to each other. What it does speak to, however, is the practical skill of working with a schedule, managing your time and energy, setting boundaries, and prioritising your well-being. Life coaching for work-life balance will help you do this in a way that makes sense to you, and that is dynamic and anti-fragile enough to adapt to any surprises that life may throw at us.

Personal Growth and Self-Discovery

Life coaching is a powerful tool for self-discovery. As coaches, we are particularly forward-focused, centring what it is you want, and working towards that. In this way, it is different to therapy, which is often focused on the past. Many of my clients have already had years of therapy, and are surprised to discover how much value there is for them still in coaching. Through coaching, you’ll gain insights into your values, passions, and desires, helping you align your life with what truly matters most to you.

Our heart isn’t just a centre of emotion: it also carries with it a great deal of wisdom if we learn to listen to it. Courage, then, is an embodied praxis. It’s why I named my business Cor Moves.
